Welcome to the Chaplain’s Road!

Many words, one God. Let’s look at some of the descriptive words that discuss how we see our Lord, and how He affects our daily walk with Him. Some words like Triumphant God, Delightful Jesus, Wonderful Lord. These words reflect our walk with Him and in the end gives us “Strength.”

So, let’s travel together on the Chaplain’s Road and explore! Our “Triumphant God” reflects the strength of God’s victory over sin, death, and evil, by sending His son Jesus Christ as our sacrificial lamb.

In, Romans 8:31. What, then, shall we say in response to these things? If God is for us, who can be against us?

This verse expresses everlasting victory over spiritual warfare. It creates a deep sense of peace, faith, and His divine power over all things.

During some of my daily devotions I share that we need to “Persevere with Patience” stating that we need to move forward but with God at the helm. Knowing He has this and that we need to have great faith and understanding that He does.

We need to become one with God by studying His word daily, living by His word, and believing by sharing His word.

In 2 Corinthians 2:14, but thanks be to God, who always leads us as captives in Christ’s triumphal procession and uses us to spread the aroma of the knowledge of him everywhere.

Psalm 46:10 “Be still and know that I am God.”

We should be “delighted” and excited about Jesus as He is the creator of all things. We have so much to be thankful for, especially the creations the surrounds us. I look at creation as the pathway toward heaven. God created all things for a purpose. How one thing affect the other. God’s creation is important because it reveals His power and glory, it provides life for us, food, and water in order for us to survive.

The same goes regarding His word, it serves a purpose. His “word” is our spiritual food and His “water/blood,” is what we need to saturate ourselves with. Immerse ourselves, dig deep into His words and believe, and all who receive, will have eternal salvation. We need to find time to worship, find fellowship, disciple one another, serve others as a ministry, all this leads to a mission of sharing God’s word.

Our Lord is also “wonderful” as He understands our weakness.Normal feelings of self-guilt exist, and we find it hard that we have a God who as I mentioned is wonderful as Hs is! God has forgiven those guilt’s, but we need to make it known to Him by speaking to Him and ask for His forgiveness. Jesus’s ministry to us is for us to open our heart to Him with thanksgiving and praise.

This is a good Segway into the following verse: Luke 11:9-10 “So I say to you: Ask and it will be given to you; seek and you will find; knock and the door will be opened to you. ¹⁰ For everyone who asks receives; the one who seeks finds; and to the one who knocks, the door will be opened.

Through prayer, keep asking, keep seeking, and keep knocking. Jesus promises that God hears persistent prayers and will answer those who come to Him with trust and great faith.

As noted, 1 Thessalonians 5:16-18. ¹⁶ Rejoice always, ¹⁷ pray continually, ¹⁸ give thanks in all circumstances; for this is God’s will for you in Christ Jesus.

All this being said, we should find strength in God on a regularly bases, it then becomes the norm in life. Each challenging situation that arises should be addressed immediately to Him and watch Him go to work. You will become a true witness to all, explaining how God has provided, protected with a strong sense of purpose in your life.

Psalm 18:1-2 ¹ I love you, Lord, my strength. ² The Lord is my rock, my fortress, and my deliverer; my God is my rock, in whom I take refuge, my shieldand the hornof my salvation, my stronghold.

God will rescue us as, so apply Psalm 18 in your walk with Him. Make God your personal refuge in troubling times, cry out to Him when you feel overwhelmed, and praise Him for being your strength and deliverer. Amen!

So, as we come to a close, let’s take a moment to pause and read the most powerful promise of God’s love for us.

John 3:16

For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life.
