Memory: Making a Connection

Many people living in long-term care facilities face cognitive and physical difficulties, such as those suffering with dementia or Alzheimer’s. This can be made worse by the fact that they are not in the familiar surroundings they’ve had for so much of their life. At Pleasant View, we work to make life better for every resident. One way we do that is with MUSIC & MEMORY®, a special program based on extensive neuroscience research designed to help people in nursing homes and other care organizations who suffer from a wide range of cognitive and physical challenges. The program’s goal is “to find renewed meaning and connection in their lives through the gift of personalized music.”
